What is Joomla ?
Joomla is a popular and free platform for managing web sites as a CMS. You must install Joomla on your own site with an address like http://joomla.mysite.com/ or http://www.mysite.com/
Joomla Modules, Plug ins, Templates
With Joomla you can add new features through Modules and Plug ins. The layout, fonts and colors are changed as Templates. The architecture is very modular and expandable by design.
Joomla Components
The VirtueMart shopping cart system works in Joomla as a Component. This is an Open Source component so there's no cost to download and install it.
Joomla Customization
With free software and hundreds of Modules, Plug ins and Templates to choose from why would I need any customization?
Here are some reasons to choose Joomla customization or services:
- You need specific colors, fonts and layout in your site so that visitors know that this is your company or brand.
- Your favorite Template is really close to what you want, but it's not quite perfect in terms of color, shape, position or features.
